The drunk caller.

Slaughterhouse five
Kurt Vonnegut

obligatory note:
I am reading the chapter #1, and I find my self laughing out loud, which makes me think of an episode of the TV show "Californication" in which the main character a writer hates the expression lol, because he feels it disrespects the English language, so I didn't lol, I laughed out loud. I did this because I could imagine Vonnegut calling his friends at night, drunk and then waking up and remembering everything he had said to his friends. I think he laughed out loud while writing it as well.
Now let's get just a bit more serious:
I feel like the author wants me as a reader to feel familiar with his journey. Vonnegut says I and O'Hare went to France and ate until we had baby fat and then I married my wife who had baby fat as well. SEE THAT, the use of baby fat in what I would call "a school book" because it is chosen by the teacher to read, is just hilarious and interesting. It was like an north American sour candy or some McDonald's chips in the middle of  CWW trip, in other words beyond delightful.

Maybe getting deep:
My dad's boss in California is called Richard Müller, and so I imagine Gerhard Müller as my dad's boss. But he would actually be more like Vonnegut because he is that kind of guy that tells stories and looks into the horizon like remembering while telling the story. This like older guy, with a deep voice and with a humor sometimes people struggle to understand, again just a random thought.

The first chapter made my mind blow I could relate it with a million things, I have to say chapter #1 was a sad chapter told by a person who is sad but tries to appear happy, why do I say this?? because he is melancholic, and judges everything and just the way he tells what happened is sad.

I like how he portrays frustration through his inability to write his book. Also I was very much intrigued by this woman Mary she had a tongue of stele and by that I mean she was harsh but her words were true. Mary made me think of myself in that situation how would I react?... Mary is peculiar, she seems like a person I could be friends with. The fact that she inspired the name was interesting too, her actions had positive repercussions in Vonnegut. The power of a loving mother.

... thats why I shall end by saying I was left with a desire to be old and look back at my own "children's crusade".
